Penang Holidays - Tourist Guide

I was tourist guide for a group of 6 Singaporeans, my wife included, for a 4 days Penang trip .

It was quite challenging as I have not been to these places of interest for many years and also our main mode of transport is the public bus.

The many times I went home were to visit my aging and sick parents in Penang and not sight-seeing.

Anyway, all went well ..... and I think my friends were satisifed with the food and the tambun biscuits that they bought besides the salted fish and some nutmeg tibits too.

Here are a few photos but I took mainly videos with my newly purchased camcorder ( the videos are still being edited so watch out for them in the near future... )

Took a ferry ride and this is a view of Georgetown, showing Komtar which is the tallest building on the island.

I spent the last day catching up with my parents before I flew back to Spore. Dad wanted to have lunch at Subway in 1st Avenue shopping mall.

Reflections of Year 2012

Happy New Year to all of You and may all your wishes for the coming year be granted ...!!!

Time flies again and another year has passed quickly... needless to say, I am one year wiser ( better than to say older ... ha.. ha... ).

In January 2011, Jason was bitten the dreadful Aedes mossie and he caught Dengue Fever but though hospitalised, he recovered in good time..!!!

Jas got his  Fender electric guitar for his birthday in March.

Jas performed on stage with the JCC Club band in Singapore Poly in April, his first debut in public!

Jas went on a study trip to HK and Shenzhen with SP and also visited the Disneyland there in Sept.

Jas is officially considered recovered from his right knee ACL re-construction surgery after 1 year of rehabilitation. He has resumed playing street soccer and even won a Gold award for his NAPFA test.

Jas then started his final year internship with DBS Bank - HR Training Dept in late Nov.

After about 5 years, LLM & I visited Kuala Lumpur again for a short holiday and stayed at Bukit Bintang area in Sep while Jas was away in HK.

I also bought a Canon HD camcorder for my Christmas.

Of course, I flew back to Penang a few times this year to visit my parents too.

I am proud to say that I have not been to see the GP over any illnesses this year though I did have some running nose or sore throat  a few times but I managed to overcome it with some over the counter medication.

So what is my new year resolution ... ?

Well, nothing too ambitious but to resume my swimming ( when the raining season stops as it is still raining almost every afternoon ) and exercise more for my own health reasons. I went to swim yesterday and it was indeed a good feeling but I need to be more consistent or do it more regularly, at least twice a week.

What am I looking forward to in 2013 ... ?

Jason's graduation and his National Service enlistment.... for a start, and take things as they come along....

So I hope you will have an exciting year ahead and do stay healthy too....!!!
