SPS Sports Day 2009

Hi,

Right after the school national athletic meet on Thu, SPS held their school sports day at Bedok stadium on Fri.

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves as we were supporting Jason and his friends in friendly competitive races.

Again, Mum was the No. 1 Supporter and other parents, who were present, must be amazed by our enthusiasm.

Jason won medals in all the events he ran; 2 Golds, 2 Silvers and 1 Bronze.

800m and 4x400m - Gold medals

200m and 4x100m - Silver medals

400m - Bronze medal

The 4x400m relay team won not only the Gold medal but also broke the school record for this event.

School National Athletics Meet Finals

Hi,

The school national athletics meet finals was held on Thu 23 Apr.

Jason ran in the 800m, 4x100m and 4x400m relay finals but did not win any medals.

Nevertheless, we were there screaming out hearts out to support the SPS teams and proud of his participation and achievements.

The atmosphere was electrifying as the schools turned out in full force to support their respective runners.

Mum is the No. 1 Supporter and she would shout out the names of the runners or SPS name......

School National Athletics Meet

Hi,

The school national athletics meet started on Mon 13 April and will end on Thu 23 April; it is being held at Chao Chu Kang stadium.

Jason ran in the 400m, 800m and 4x100m relay this week.

He qualified for the 800m final and came in 3rd from behind, ran last Fri afternoon; improved his timing though.

800m starting line; Jason is the 6th runner from the left.

He did not make it to the semi-final for the 400m individual race. But it turned out to be a blessing in disguise as he could rest one more day before his 800m final and the 4x100m relay.

The team qualified for the 4x100m relay to be held next Thu 23 Apr.

We are indeed proud of his athletic achievements and participation too.

Qing Ming in Penang - April 2009

Hi,

My wife and I flew back to Penang for Qing Ming during the weekend of 4 April 2009.

We stayed at Trader Hotel ( formerly known as Shangri-la Hotel ), next to Komtar and Prangin Mall in Georgetown.

We met up with my cousins from Penang and Taiping for Qing Ming at our grandparents tomb.

Here is a slide show of the photos taken of the Qing Ming:

We managed to spend 1 day doing some shopping and also caught a movie ( only RM7.00 ! ) too.

It was a good short break to visit my parents and caught up with my cousins too.

SPS Soccer Team - 2nd Place Win East Zone

Hi,

We went to support Jason in his school soccer final match against Victoria Secondary (VS), played at Temasek Polytechnic stadium.

Though St. Patrick Secondary (SPS) lost to VS by 2 goals, it was a good achievement for SPS as they have not gone so far in their soccer tournament in the past years.

Here is a slide show of some photos taken of Jason:

We are indeed proud of his participation and achievement in SPS soccer team.
